Broadside Series - Reed College

Broadside Series - Reed College

Sponsored by the Department of English at Reed College, the Visiting Writer Lecture Series combines the writings of diverse poets and prose writers with original design and production printing to produce an illustrated broadside series. With the intention of placing more poetry and art directly into the hands of the public, these broadsides are given away at each featured writer's reading.

Various techniques are employed in order to complement the writer's words themselves: reduction linocuts, typesetting by hand with wood and metal type, polymer plates, as well as other experimental techniques. Each broadside is part of a closed edition, numbered by hand.

Weird Fucks

Weird Fucks

Weird Fucks is a confluence of the old and the new: it’s a reissue of the first work longer than 10 pages that Lynne Tillman published (originally in 1980). Hundreds of these posters were printed for an installation event accompanying Tillman's reading, hosting several writers and interdisciplinary artists engaging in weird fuckery of some kind.

Second publishing by New Herring Press.
